Arts Workshops

The Kuumba Winter Arts and Spring Arts Workshops are our dynamic recess programs designed to engage students during winter and spring breaks. These programs offer a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the African Diaspora through a diverse range of performance and visual arts classes.

Program Overview

The Workshops are open to students ages 5-16. Sessions are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with early drop-off available starting at 7:30 a.m. Throughout the day, students participate in five to six enriching hands-on classes that explore dance, music, theater, visual arts, and cultural history.

End of Session Performance

At the end of each session, students showcase the results of their artistic explorations in a special performance for parents, families, and friends—celebrating their hard work, creativity, and growth.

Why Choose Workshops?

These Workshops provide an engaging, educational, and fun environment for young artists to develop their skills, make lasting memories, and connect with their cultural roots. We look forward to having your child join us for an unforgettable experience!
