The 4th Annual Art Blues Soul & BBQ Festival is a free community event that celebrates the arts, sounds and flavors of black Miami during Art Basel week. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the concert was recorded live on December 5, 2020. The presentation of this live recording premiered on Saturday, December 19, 2020 online via the Center’s YouTube and Facebook live page.
Miami-based artists performing music from the blues and soul genres live on an outdoor stage.

The purpose of this event was to provide a platform where the AHCAC introduces and maintain the rich history of the African Diaspora while providing an opportunity for local artist to open up for national artist and share their music with the community.

This year’s concert is part of the Center’s 45th anniversary celebration featuring powerful performances by former students and teachers. Featured performances include R&B/Soul artists Courtney Mickens (AHCAC alumnus), Zipporah Hayes (AHCAC alumnus and former instructor), Gia Wyre (former instructor), and Blues vocalist Ja’Nia Harden of The Harden Project (AHCAC alumnus and former instructor). Headlining the concert is Miami Blues legend and Sony Music recording artists Mojo Ike & Val. The student spotlight stage will highlight the next generation of vocalists and include R&B selections sung by AHCAC students Wesley Wray, Ciara Hutchins, and LeAsia Brown.
